Bangkok was our first stop on our trip around Southeast Asia. We had a whole week in the city, which kind of reminded us of NYC – big, busy, happening place with always something to see or do – city full of life.
There’s a real mix of things – traditional & modern, rich & poor, Asian & Western. And there’s a saying, “If you can’t get it in Bangkok, it probably doesn’t exist.” Which gives you an idea of what it’s like. There really is everything here.
Some things that stand out are the beautiful parks (with free exercise machines), many temples, friendly people, iced coffee and Thai milk tea, Thai massage places and 7-elevens at every corner, night markets, cafes and adorable kids.
We had our first fish spa experience, foot massage, and Chinese New Year in Chinatown.
Here’s our Bangkok stay in pictures.
